About us

NySa (NISS-uh) - Natyayukta SadhanA - is an educational space for the practice and promotion of Natya or traditional Indian dance, music and theatre founded by Samyukta Chillara in 2025.

Currently based in Barcelona, Spain, NySa aims to support Indian performing arts and artists through classes, workshops, showcases and lecture demonstrations. 

VISION

Our vision is to ignite curiosity and cultivate a deep appreciation for traditional Indian performing arts rooted in Shastra (guiding principles) among learners, practitioners, and rasikas (audience). 

We aim to nurture students into sensitive, disciplined, and thoughtful artists through holistic learning that supports both professional growth and lifelong engagement with the arts. 

Through this, we seek to create a vibrant community that not only preserves tradition but expands its boundaries through experimentation and creative exchange that aids in cultural understanding and enrichment at a global scale
